Programs

Our programs include collaboration between Bright Star Community Outreach & New Everlasting Faith Ministries. We offer various activities for children, teens, and young adults.

Mentorship

  • NECO provides a free mentorship program in Englewood for children and young adults. Our program is 100% staffed by volunteer mentors. We provide a safe haven where people can be stress-free,  build rapport in one-on-one mentor sessions and receive tutoring. We also offer fun field trips to local skating parks, museums, etc.

Counseling

  • NECO provides individual, family and marital counseling. Our counseling sessions are for active members of the congregation. The counseling sessions are led by both the Senior and Assistant Pastor. Counseling services are 100% free and confidential.

Vacation Bible School

  • VBS is an 8-week summer program held at our location during the summer. VBS is  Monday - Friday, 8 A.M. - 3 P.M for youth ages 5 to 17 years old. Instruction is taught with age-appropriate learning material in order to engage children, teens and young adults to learn more about the bible and religion. Our staffing is equipped with teachers who can apply the fundamentals of the educational material provided.

Food Program

  • Our Food Program provides free healthy breakfast and lunch meals for Englewood Community children, while school is not in session during the summer months.  The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) delivers breakfast and lunch daily and we are equipped with staff and volunteers who monitor and assist the children.

Back to School Fair

  • Our Back to School Fair takes place every year in the month of August.  We provide games, family activities, music and other entertainment for families to enjoy. Free food and snacks are provided for participants. Our main event is the distribution of free school supplies and raffles.

Annual Christmas Toy Drive

  • Our Christmas Toy Drive is scheduled to take place on December 23, 2018, this year. This annual toy drive serves low-income families who cannot afford Christmas presents for their children.  Registration sheets are used to keep track of all children who have been signed up to receive toys. N.E.C.O. provides presents, gift giveaways and food baskets for participants.
